Hi all

need some help regarding my car and the exhaust system
I have been looking at the back of the car and I am like that's it I need another two pipes sticking out
Make the car from the back look balanced and IMPRESIVE as I feel this realy is missing

I have been reading that the quad zunsport exhaust system does nothing and basically is
A show piece is this correct
If this is the case then. Can someone please tell me is there a quad system out there that growls loud
And maybe (((extra performance . )))) be nice
my issue could be the warranty as don't want to jeopardise this
But I am so wanting to change the pipes and make a bit of noise
This is a beauty of a car and I really feel it is missing a growl
Also I am more looking for black pipes
If any one out there can help be great
Thanks

As said, you can try RCZ Performance for pre built exhausts.
Or you could look into custom made stainless steel ones like powerflow, longlife, jetex, cybox etc. These will cost more, but you will have more flexibility over design and sound.

Do these after market exhausts do any damage to the warranty
I like the sound of a custom exhaust as you said maybe I can the sound and the performance mainly sound
Assuming it does not mess with the warranty
Seem that eveything that is RCZ is through RCZ performance
Excluding the sun are the other exhaust sounding good or they basic

When I asked about modifying the exhaust to put on quads I was told that the system would still be under warranty except for the part that had changed.

ie If I was to change to feline quads then that would be the only part excluded from manufactures warranty, the rest of the system would still be covered.
But its worthwhile just checking with your dealership (and get it in writing).

Its best to check with whoever your warranty is with. But most of the time they will not cover what is not factory oem. So they would cover everything except your new exhaust or any damage caused by the non standard exhaust.

The best place to get info on a custom exhaust is from the people who will be making it. They should be able to tell you what sounds you can choose from, different routes to take the pipes etc.

RCZ performance do a lot of research and digging to be able to bring everything into one place. Most of the time I have found that if you find something he does not sell, he can get in contact with the manufacturers and work out deals.

There is a garage in Leeds West Yorkshire that does custom exhausts for the RCZ in stainless steel with a lifetime guarantee. They are £399 fitted. They advertise in eBay, or you can contact them directly. Their website is http://www.tonybanks.co.uk

Their latest Fleabay item is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171668201582? ... EBIDX%3AIT

You can choose the exhaust "note" you require, and they offer 3 general types from what I have read. Quiet, mid/sport or full sport.

They say they manufacture and fit the custom exhaust to fit each individual vehicle, and this can be done in 2 to 3 hours.

They also have 14 other depots round the country, so they may have somewhere closer to you.

I have no association with this company, and I have not had contact with anyone who has had one of their exhaust systems fitted, so I cannot comment on how good they are.

Just wish I could afford one !!!

With the HDI you have to deal with the DPF/FAP and this will reduce sound and performance mainly. But replacing the rest of the system will give you more sound and performance, just not as much as you would get with a THP.

We sell systems for the Diesels: http://shop.rczperformance.com/main.sc

Checkout Bastuck for specific Diesel systems, and Ruffer have systems that work with both HDi and THP engines. All systems are stainless steel and manufactured specifically for the RCZ.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Just spoke to tonybanks.co.uk and they said they cut the exhaust as it goes over the rear axle and remove the silencer, they put a y piece in to branch to the right put in tubing to bring it to to RHS they put tubing in in the LHS, they cut the bumper (I assume valance) to match LHS, then put a y piece on each side, then quad exhaust tips.
I asked about silencers they said not needed and not had any problems. Been fitting at least 1 a week for last 2 years, I asked if that was for 1.6 petrol he replied no difference between 1.6 petrol or diesel or the 2 litre petrol or diesel. Asked where i got their number from i said this forum.
Also asked if any pics of underneath he just kept pointing me back to the pic of a rcz showing quad exhausts.

Anyone on here had their rcz exhaust fitted by them?

Any pics if you have?

Hmmm...removal of rear silencer, intriguing but will it pass MOT? Now do they make kit or is it bespoke?

As far as i know, a diesel does not need a cat or a silencer providing it doesnt break any sound or smoke regulations. :)

True about the diesel as it has the DPF/FAP and not a cat. Just questioning the fact of a missing rear silencer and if that is a MOT check that they would do or not. Sound improvement for a diesel without removing the DPF/FAP will not be bad, but for a THP it can as then you only have a cat and front silencer. But hey if it does work and a kit is available then we can sell it on. Prefer to have a high-flow cat no front silencer and a rear silencer that way performance gains are better (THP primarily).
