Here it goes again! My Sep 2010 RCZ has started randomly turning on the engine temperature fault sensor with the "stop this car' message.
Whether its gently pulling out of the drive (a tight left-hander) or slighty revving as puling away from junctions the sensor keeps going off. Of course I'm out of warranty without an extension so quoted £100+ for a diagnostic check.
I've warned the garage that the cars been in at least four times when I lived in Essex - once in limp mode - and often after I'd had repair work or tyres replaced - can only assume the mechanics tested the revs ...! Each time there was nothing wrong. Local friendly mechanic has taken a look and found no issues so wait with bated breath as to what the dealer thinks - when they eventually get it in next week. Slow service here.
So I am now trying to get the Essex dealer to email to me the dates and conclusions so I can give it to the Hereford dealer ... kinda assuming that there is nothing wrong again just a Peugeot issue.
Here's hoping. Will keep you posted as I know this is a commonly posted problem.
