engine repair fault

Has well as top up coolant wich is ok it now coming up with engine fault needs repair is the two connected what's happening

Hi, when did the warning appear? Could be the dreaded coolant temp sensor fault? Did the car go into limp mode or did the Fan run full pelt when you stopped?

I've had the same message and after a couple of days it reset itself and its been ok since so don't panic just yet! :eusa-think:

Did not go in to limp mode everything ok just at the moment comes up with these faults car runs ok coolant fault coming up last to weeks level ok.Comes on after about 20miles and now engine repair fault now coming on is this a trip to a peueot dealer

Looks like it may be worth Peugeot running it through a diagnostic if it's not going into limp mode it doesn't sound like anything serious.
Good luck hope it's a cheap quick fix.

I would try to reset the whole thing. Somewhere here in the forum a member explained how to do. I was tricked twice by the dealer to run such tests, and no fault was found. If the car isn't going in limp mode, as said by banjoman030355, there's a good chance to be just a sensor going nuts, and sometimes just the reset sort the things out. Had the Engine Repair Fault about 4 months ago, after reseting, no more warnings.

Found out it is the coolant level sensor what is faulty
