ENGINE OIL FAILURE ??

Hi all

Five weeks old, when you turn the ignition on it says engine oil failure on every start up. Engine oil level is okay.

Just tried booking the car in for the 1000 mile check, its now 900. They said unable to fit it in until next Thursday. The car will have done another 1000 miles in the next few days !!

I told them this when booking it in. Ah well, if the engine blows up, tuff.

Also the passenger seat switch wont move the seat back or forwards.

Five weeks old and things going wrong already, absolute joke.

I know you are obviously upset with some teething problems with your car but I'm sure they will be straight forward things to sort out.

With regards to the 1000 mile service, it is Friday and a bank holiday weekend so Thursday is not that long a wait. I'm sure the garage has a lot of cars to service and MOT.

I hope you get your car sorted out soon.

I'm sorry to hear that you have had a few niggles with your new beauty. I know it's annoying but this really isn't that uncommon in new cars that haven't been run in and such things only really become apparent once they're being driven for the first wee while...just look at the little niggles that Jass has had with his new ST3. It can happen with ANY car. Hopefully everything is quickly rectified for you and you can get back to enjoying the ownership experience.

Going in on Thursday for the 1000 mile check. Also a fault with the electric passenger seat switch.

Pug have just phoned, the oil engine failure they have cleared. The passenger seat needs a new motor ! How sad is that. A week old and it packed up.

Forgot to update this May last year. After picking the car up and getting the passenger seat fixed, the oil failure came on again after an hour of driving away from the dealer. Never went back, just check the oil level manually. It got reset again last week at another dealers though. Okay at the moment.
