I know my faults occurred when I first started dating my missus and we we parked up with engine on for periods of time...

was fine when I was giving it the beans.

LOL, should we even ask why you were parked up for extended periods of time...

Some 20 months after starting this thread I thought I'd better close it out properly. Very remiss of me jassyo06 for dumping info but not following up, my apologies. If this issue has been done to death on another thread, my apologies also. For my car and a random selection of 200GT's the computer that drilled the cylinder heads went a bit random and threw an undetected occasional wobbly. The duff-drilled heads went into a random selection of cars with this block, including rcz's and minis. As I stated at the start, Pug Stourbridge were efficient and friendly and the head was replaced, all under warranty. Presumably by now most of the affected cars will have had the work done. The problem was solved and hasn't reoccurred, so if this happens to you, they know what to do. It's only a fairly small number of 200GT's that are affected, they look for certain signs and if seen, replace the head. Hopefully you will still be under warranty, if not, the parts list is long and your car will be in bits for a few days.
Cheers and happy stargazing!
