Engine fans.

When I turn off the RCZ's engine, sometimes the engine fans stay on for 20 seconds, other times for a minute. No codes.

Any reason for the time different?

Yes,

This is perfectly normal, they are cooling down the turbo unit.

But this did used to be the give away sign of the coolant sensor failure,

but the fans came on straightaway from starting the car and the temp gauge went berserk.

Plus don't forget you have a slightly warmer climate than us ....
