Engine Autodiagnosis Warning light For HDI

Has anyone had this problem with their HDI ?
Engine autodiagnosis system.

Yesterday during a 25K trip the light was FIXED on.
The car drove just as well as normal.
With no obvious signs of problems I continued my journey at a normal speed.
The book says this about the warning;

FLASHING. The engine management system has a fault.
Risk of destruction of the catalytic converter.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

FIXED. The emission control system has a fault.
The warning lamp should go off when the engine is started.
If it does not go off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or qualified
workshop without delay.

I then parked up for about 2 hours and on the drive home the light didn't come
on nor has is since.
I am putting it down to a faulty sensor but would be interested to hear from other
HDI owners who have had the same fault light show.
Could it have anything to do with my new quads ?

Are your quads a complete new system? It shouldnt affect it if the new exhaust is after the last emmision sensor.
It might be the DPF? But it scleared as you drove and the system reset when it did the diagnostic upon ignition.

Me neither in four years.
You'd almost think it's bust but it does light up before starting the car.
The HDi has a diesel particle filter so it does need a good motorway drive every now and then to keep that clean.

Thanks for the replies.
It hasn't done it again so I am putting it down to a one off
electrical / sensor fault.
