Electronic Failure - Can't get in my car

Hi

I am new to the Forum, but wondered if anyone else had encountered this issue.

I have a 156 RCZ registered in December 2011, and bought by me in April. After 2 weeks i went to go to work on a Monday morning and couldn't get in the car. Neither Key would let me in. End result was that the car was recovered and sat in a Peugeot garage for 5 days whilst they awaited the delivery of a mysterious part which controls everything (apparently) - i am not very technical, but this sits behind the steering wheel and controls the electrics.

New part fitted i take my car home, 10 days later, in a supermarket car park, armed full of shopping the same thing happened. I waited an hour for the roadside assistance, who disconnected the battery, and it reset the fault. I took it home and it was fine for another few days then same issue.

I have no faith in the car's reliability and really need to get this sorted out, and am wondering if anyone has had similar issues and whether they were resolved?

Jay,
How did the roadside open the bonnet without the doors being opened ?

A new one on me. However I feel very confident that the issue will get resolved sooner rather than latter, as we have some knowledgeable and influential members on this forum. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hi, sorry, i probabably should have explained that a bit better. They opened the car manually using the Key (setting the alarm off)
