Updating my original posting. That message has not appeared after the first time. I think that the battery got weaker 'cause the car was not used for several days, I was abroad, and the temperature went way bellow -10°C for many days. I am not sure if that message was before or after I started the car. Might have been there before starting, dunno. I will let you know if it reappears. I thank you for your comments. :) Juma.

Hi Guys, My 2.0HDiGT went into Economy Mode yesterday (Monday 30/4/12) after my car had been stood since last Friday morning with an engine fault. What makes this particularly frustrating is that it was on a flat bed recovery truck at the time (Paid for by myself) and about to be transported to the dealers. The driver’s window was fully wound down and I was unable to set alarm to transportation mode.

I was returning home from work last Friday which is a distance of around 10 miles and involves a short section of the M18 S/B between J4 and J3. I was almost home when my car decided to rattle like a bag of spanners. I informed my dealer who booked it in for Monday but who could not do the recovery and told me to go through my insurance.

My beloved RCZ is at the dealers having surgery. This involves new mirrors fitted again (They did fit the wrong ones), front bumper resprayed again (Crap job done 1st time and still to be polished), gearbox from 1st to 2nd crunch and engine noise. I have to stop now as I feel faint. :helpme: :greetings-wavingblue:
