drove off my rcz without putting coolent cap on

Hi all. I am needing your professional advice please please please. In December 2015 i drove off with my rcz and i forgot to put the lid on the coolant area. Anyway i have not been able to fix the car right away as i didn't have the money. The mechanic who recently fixed my car used the same engine but placed a new head gasket, set of seals, new oil filter and piston rings. (originally i wanted a new motor added as it was not sure if the motor was fully damaged or not. He was not able to find a replacement motor because the one that he did find for me could not be fitted as mine is rcz 1.6 litre 200 horse power. 2011 model. He located some other horse power model). The car sounded fine upon collection but in just over 2 weeks of driving (no more than 1500 km) i am getting readings of low engine levels. i have taken it back to the mechanic to ask what is going on? There appears to be no leaks anywhere?
I tried to sell it days before the low readings issue and the car dealer who took my car for a test drive suggested there is something wrong with your head gasket and there is a lot of smoke when he tried to rev it up (I just had it fixed it i was thinking). i have numerous questions. Firstly how do i know if there is damage to the turbo cause of my silly incident? i have paid 7k Australian to fix this head gasket dilemma. was i ripped off? what further can i do to make sure i can feel confident in this car should i choose to keep it or sell it. Please help as i have been feeling gutted as of late.

To rule out head gasket problems have a pressure test done.

Rcz's seem to use coolant.
My diesel has not used any. My RCZ-R is now just below minimum.

What colour is the smoke?
Blue = oil being burnt
Black = excess fuel or unburnt fuel
White = water escaping (coolant) on a warmed engine. On a cold engine you get water vapour in the exhaust and as it starts to heat up the water and it turns to steam. Once it's up to temp it shouldn't do it again until overnight cool down but should only last a short time.

It might be just settling down after fluids have being going round the system.
