The EML has appeared and I had the car scanned at my local garage and it came up with:
U118/CAN Communication - No communication with the BSI.
0023 - Absence of communication with the multifunction display or telematics (Engine relay unit/Radio/Windscreen wiper)
They however had no idea how to rectify the faults and suggested I take it the the local main dealer. Don't particularly want to pay main dealer rates to source and fix the faults, but have no other option unfortunately!
Going into the dealer on Monday so will see what happens...
