can this be resolved without just lifting door, disturbing perfect alignment? Spacer washers / adjustment?

The door pins sound knackered one option is to support the weight of the door on a padded out axle stand then change the pins but its a 2 man job unless you could hire a jig ?

thks, beyond me due to arthritis and in seventies .. so, could main dealer just do a pin swap, or would they insist on new hinges, painting etc etc?

Keeping door in place, together with electrics makes much more sense - anyone done this pin swap job?

A competent local indie garage should be able to swop out the pins can't see hinges being damaged unless some plonker has been fiddling with the doors as for a member doing them maybe they have done but why when I would imagine them lasting the life of the car ?
