Hi,

anybody knows is there a possibility to install without too many mods the turbo from RCZ R 270HP to 1.6 200 THP engine? Or any turbocharger which can be available to install???

One modification for the RCZ R turbo, you will need the RCZ R engine too ;) At this moment the RCZ R development is still too new and so nobody has done any swap overs from it to standard RCZ's. We will be looking into these possibilities but currently we offer everything you need.

I doubt very much the standard non modified (strengthened) 1.6 can put up with RCZ R engine modifications. We did come across a turbo that can push it to 350 bhp but you must go through the engine as leaving it stock will only result in engine failure when you push it. We are at 252 on ours and will be doing some more remap next week to see if we can get too 260, but any more is not recommended without rebuilding the engine to withstand the extra power.

At the end of the day the 1.6 is too small to be a power plant as you want it to be unless you eliminate reliability. Do an engine swap, make it rear wheel drive, now we might be talking about a truly awesome RCZ.

Hello again,

below the mods I have done in my car:

- downpipe with 100 CPSI kat, shorter resonator and rear muffler from Ulter,
- ECU remap from CompSport: 245HP and 338Nm.
They say that no more available to reach on factory stuff, is that the truth?
What can I change to rise the power and torque of around 10HP and 20Nm???

Induction needs to be improved using a better inter-cooler, pipes and hoses, this will definitely help. We sell all of them (well the hard-pipe is delayed until the end of the month):

We do ship to Poland too.

We know several THP200's with over 250bhp without the induction work, so maybe you need another remap and/or different exhaust set-up, remember you do need some restriction and an exhaust system that flows too much can hinder performance.

Hi there,

thank's for your response.
I have forgot about the Ruffer intercooler. After it's installing the temperature inside the intake manifold rised up to around 60 degrees instead 22 degrees on factory IC. All was done at the same temperature of the dyno room. So, if we are talking about me I can not to have a good opinion about them.

Best regards
Marcin

I am not familiar with Ruffer having an inter-cooler, but Forge Motorsport does and that was developed by us with them for the THP200:

We are heading to SuperChips on Monday for a new remap to see what we can get out of the it now with doing a few more mods.

Remaps also require actual road runs with diagnostic equipment to determine if the remap is good. Getting actual air flow from driving and being in the ambient temperature is always recommended. Doing remaps at different times of the year will also depict outcome.
