My car all of a sudden refuses to keep the correct time. Every time I get in it it loses about 20 mins. But the other day it actually jumped back 10 mins while I was driving. Any ideas what’s going on..?

The car went in for a new timing kit recently, and I assume they disconnected the battery, but that’s about the time the bad timekeeping started. Any help gratefully received.

How old is the battery? Failing batteries have been known to throw up all kind of weird & wonderful electrical issues.

Also, water ingress into the boot lock has also been known to affect other systems in the car.

Yes, maybe I should do that. I don’t know how long it’s been in the car.
