The metal dipsticks are useless. I have a thp 156, is it possible to replace the dipstick with a plastic one?

Plastic ones are for the diesel metal for the petrol never measured them to see what the difference is but the plastic ones are prone to breaking.

Crapstick ones overtime go brittle with the heat & break off better to replace with a metal one & always draw them out very carefully as on the Prince Engines they have a oil suds baffle tray lining the sump if you snatch the stick out the end cap can snag on the tray & will snap off

I’m not sure the metal (petrol engines) and plastic (diesel) are the same length.
