did anyone else got in the Peugeot Ion at Peugeot HQ

I had a go in it and was a freaky experience.

no engine noise with all glass around you, no rev counter and an automatic gearbox (which is the first auto I have ever driven).

was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. (i couldn't get used to no noise)

did anyone else find this who had a go in it?

I had a go in the iOn. The sound was weird (or lack of), especially on starting it as the only clue was a little sign on the dash saying "ready".

I was surprised at how much like a car it actually did drive through.

I so wanted to have a drive in it. Unfortunately for me I forgot to pack my driving licence. I'd forget my head if it was loose.

I think I followed you in the Ion Tony. Was a surreal experience especially starting the car. And it was no slow coach when you stuck your foot down....

I kind of expected that whirring humm you get on milk floats ...

I had a go in the Ion, turned key..... nothing. Turned it off and tried again,.... nothing,looked at Peugeot bloke in passenger seat,and he says just put your foot down, and hey,off we went.Doh!

I've worked for Peugeot for nearly 20 years. Have had loads of cars like 406 coupe, 607, 508, 407, 306, 307, 308 etc etc

And the Ion is THE most expensive Peugeot I've ever been in. £34000 phew.

Strange experience. Silence and road noise all there is. I turned the radio off and the air con off and the range went up 10 miles

is an extremely weird experience driving one and did actually see one on the road yesterday in leicester (looked like it was on a test drive) definitely did stand out in the traffic
