Hi, as newbie RCZ owner who has just hit a snag, I wonder if anyone can help?
Last weekend my 2012 RCZ1.6 200THP with only 40k on the clock suddenly had the EML light come on and juddering on acceleration.
The RAC came out and put a new coil in cylinder 1 but this didn't solve the problem, so they towed me to a main dealer.
The main dealer said the diagnostic code was P0351, a misfire on cylinder 1. They swapped the coils for 1 and 4 and found that the misfire moved to coil 4.
So they are suggesting replacing all 4 coils and sparkplugs, at a cost of £420, and then see if that solves the issue, and if not, then clearly the bill is going to climb. So i'm thinking of replacing the coils and sparks myself for half the cost, elsewhere.
Other symptoms were the fan goes like crazy when you turn off the engine. I also may have overfilled the oil recently!
(I'm not a car specialist by any means, and just love my RCZ, but don't have an endless supply of cash to keep throwing at the problem in the hope that eventually it'll be fixed. I'm surprised that the main dealer can't find the root of the problem and then quote me the amount to fix it.)
Any help or advice VERY gratefully received.
Thanks
