Best way to clean your engine ?? Tried to clean mine today but it still looks dirty.

What products are out there and what is best.

Is it ok to jet wash your engine. Derv type only ?

Hi Tony, there are a few tutorials on YouTube and some do use a jet wash but I think it's always a gamble wether or not water is going to get into some electrics.
What I did on my wife's Mini Cooper S was to use some oil and grease hand wipes and three hours later a different looking engine bay finished off with a little silicone spray.

Thanks guys, yeh I just used some cheap oil and grease removing hand wipes and a tooth brush! Like I said 3 hours getting into all the nooks and crannies so don't think I'll be offering me services ONLY AEK :eusa-whistle: but well worth it  it now looks like a car that's been well looked after where before it looked like the bonnet had never been lifted! Almost put me off buying the car!

Now where's me cocktail?

PS looks like Photobucket have stopped us posting our photos on forums so can anyone recommend anything else?
