Daytime running lights not working 2011 model

Hi can anyone assist we have a 2011 model with daytime running lights fitted but they aren't working (and havent as long as we have owned the car), we have checked the bulbs and fuse which are fine, any suggestions? is there a relay we should check? or do not all cars have this function operational?
