Date not changing automatically

My 2010 200BHP has a problem with the date and time setting. It's not changing date automatically and when I try to reset manually I can't move between figures. If I set the day, it then goes back to the main menu and won't let me change any other figures. I've had a new battery a couple of weeks ago and it was playing up before hand, but has been ok since then. Any suggestions gratefully received!!

The only thing that comes to mind is that you might be hitting an incorrect button jumping you out to main menu……ask me how I know…
Hopefully it is something like this and you get sorted.

The dear wife pointed out what I was doing after numerous attempts and getting booted out to main menu.
