Hey Guys

just wanted to know if anybody has had issues with cruse control?

mine seems to have stuck on at 50MPh.

I've managed to get it off now by driving slower that 10MPh and turn it on. then it says unable to activate cruse control at low speed

cars working fine now but scared to hit cruse control as i might not be able to take it off.

cars in at peugeot on monday for its second service.

hope anybody can help me or to tell my dealership what to look for

thanks

Nope - use mine a lot but never had any kind of malfunction or misbehaviour.

Operator error has been the only issue, i.e. idiot me.

Yeah use mine all the time through average speed camera's.

It was on last night for about an hour and just wouldn't come off!

Even tho it said it was off on the dashboard. I wasent able to accelerate over 50mph

Like I said its fine now. Just have to take it for a blast tomorrow

You couldn't accelerate over 50mph? Are you sure you weren't accidentally using the speed limiter?

Maybe.

I've had the car a year now so I know how to use all the stuff.

I'll just see what happens tomorrow

Ah sorry, that probably seemed a bit patronising then!

Seems to be a fault if your cruise control limits your speed. Best of luck with Peugeot!

Cheers mate.

I'm going to take it for a blast up the moterway tomorrow

Just to see if I can replicate the fault I might be using it wrong you never know.

You're either using the Speed Limiter (my money's on that)

or

You're using the Cruise Control, although not increasing the speed above 50mph for some reason.
You have to continue to increase the speed until you arrive at the speed you are comfortable with i.e. 70+

or

You're trying to switch the Front Driving Lamps on (only joking with this one).

Well done for trying to use the Cruise Control - mine's covered in dust ;)

It does sound like you've turned the switch to speed limiter, maybe by mistake. I use my cruise control quite regularly and have never experienced any problems with it.

The only problem that I have experienced is from time to time it fails to operate. I am trying to find the common denominator, but at the moment my best guess is that it is when I jump into it and start the engine immediately rather than turning the ignition on and allowing time for the car to go through it's checks etc, before firing up the engine.
But your issue really does sound like a speed limiter issue

I may be miles off here Ron, but I know with some cars you can't set the cruise control until you have pressed the brake. I had this on a Vectra I owned years ago, pulled out of a motorway services and the cruise wouldn't work, I had no idea why since I had been using it before the stop! I later found out that I hadn't pressed the brake before setting the CC (no need pulling out of a service station). Not sure if this is the case with the RCZ though...

Strange that you say that. my previous car was a Vauxhall, as you say by pressing the brake pedal it did rectify this problem. Alas not with Peugeot though. I have tried that one.
