Crankshaft sensor location

Hi All,

I have done a scan with a launch unit and I have a crankshaft sensor fault code.

Car starts and drives perfect I clear the code and for a week it's ok then engine fault comes on.

I have removed the rocker cover and inspected the chain all is perfect.

I then purchased a camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor but for the life of me couldn't see the sensor anywhere. Looked everywhere, behind engine underneath, near harmonic balancer but nothing. Only sensor is just underneath the rocker cover at the back but the plug is different.

Could anyone help as service department in Melbourne Australia refuses to help or tell me where .

I would assume its around the starter motor location I haven't got any exact data as my manual is incomplete but if mine went I would start looking in that position

Thanks for the reply, I'll check around there as my detailed repair manual says nothing about sensor locations.
