Would suspect that all this VOTE FOR ME stuff is not what this forum is for and seems to be a follow on to a certain persons attempt to rig votes in a car detailing comp. Maybe the admin folk should put an end to it?

There was a time. Abbreviated spells TWAT for short when forum members were able to post comments & information without stupid remarks in reply killing the pleasure of being a forum member!!!!!!!!

The thing with these competitions nowadays is that they are also a marketing tool to harvest E-mail addresses or mobile phone numbers. So you'll receive some spam and have to hope that they will unsubscribe and not use your details inappropriately.

Hi, Facebook doesn't work like that, if you "like" a certain post or friend which you choose all that happens is when said person makes a comment you get to see what there up to. No hard selling or misuse of user info and if you wish to stop the newly posted things from your liked group of people you simply "unlike" them. :thumbup:

Surely there has to be a better way of dealing with people who have been baited.

Having been an owner / member since the formation of this forum its pretty pants how much of a downhill slide its been on for the past 6 months or so.

With people jumping ship to other forums is it really worth keeping with the reactive "wait till its reported" ethos when a proactive approach half a year ago would have sorted the place out?

As much as I agree with this, we are where we are. I suspect that this rule " Having multiple user accounts (e.g. to bypass user bans)" will be instrumental in getting the forum back on track in the coming weeks and months.

In order for the place to fair and fun for all, the rules are applied to everyone in the same way, regardless of how popular a particular member may be.

The above post was 'liked' by Mendy. Funny how Mendy never contributes except to 'like' things which could be construed as support of kaminski / wrapper isn't it?

This forum is going through a bad phase. The warmth and goodwill which was present from the time of my joining in Feb 2013 until kaminski's appearance some months ago has all but gone. Please everybody, let's get back on track as soon as possible!

I'd say its fairly simple, there is a 3 strike procedure in place and that should be for the person - not the user name.

I've run out of fingers with the ammount of time certain posters have been banned under various user names. :lol:

Correct. This policy wasn't adhered to previously which is why the place is in a bit of a mess, but it is being adhered to now.

Although my Z has been gone for a few months now, I still enjoy visiting and seeing the new ones and what everybody is up to.

I say I still. I mean I did. This place has hit rock bottom and the last month has been full of snide, unhelpful comments.

It's like a road accident - you know you shouldn't look but you can't stop yourself.

I'm not sure if I'm going to stop logging on at all but I will be making more use of the 'foe' function.

Goodness knows what newcomers to this forum must think! It's certainly not giving the impression of being the friendly positive place it really is (or at least was).

Personally whilst I don't disagree with everything wrapper posts he has obviously systematically tried to provoke other forum members and has unfortunately succeeded in sufficiently goading some old established members to the point that they have been banned. Whilst they may arguably have overreacted and thereby given him what he was seeking, I cannot help thinking that the wrong people are being punished.

It has to be the Rules - not one rule for the Establishment Members and one rule for everyone else.

I was going to like, as the young lady is extremely pretty and I'm sure will do very well in the competition.
Unfortunately, the very rude, aggressive and foul language post towards Wrapper that was entirely unnecessary has changed my mind.
