Could be last day with my car!

Have had the car now 4 days and it's heading back to the dealer tomorrow! It's a rcz sport hdi and when we looked at it was blown away as never really seen one  (probably did but not noticed them)
After loads of mistakes from the dealer about pickup and then snapping at me when I asked to check the car over before the wife picked it up as I popped in to pay for it at 2pm then the wife collected it as 6pm!
We had paid extra for a GuardX body protection, all it's done is leave orange Staines on the car and looks like they used acid on the metal roof arches  I then noticed the rear wheel corrosion! And today when driving first time in traffic I've just noticed a judder when trying to slip the clutch in first and after going to my dad say it feels like a dual mass flywheel and when he phoned Peugeot they couldn't answer if it has one as it not likely the clutch as it doesn't slip! Also when looking I'm not a hundred % they serviced it as well at the filter doesn't look like its new so! So I've got a meeting tomorrow with the director of sales at the main dealer! So glad I didn't PX my 407 which is a 2010 plate and done 141,000 miles never had a problem that's why we went for the Diesel engine basically is the same!
Dunno what to do!
should I just give it back or let them try fixing it?

Return it and look for a better one, there are plenty to choose from and many cherished.

That's what I was thinking the car it's self is a peace of art love it! But this dealer is driving me nuts and it's only done 18,000 miles! I don't think the last owner looked after it!

Personally I would hand it back because this one sounds like a lemon and a potentially costly one in the future at that.

As stated by RCZ White, it's a buyers market for the RCZ just now and there are plenty of flawless examples out there. You won't be disappointed when you find one but, this car and your dealers have got you worried and you'll never enjoy the car with these niggles constantly at the back of your mind...even if they resolve these initial concerns. Walk away and get yourself another and let the dealership take a long hard look at their practices and shocking attitude to customer care!!

I think your right I'll give it back and go buy private at least I'll get to see what the owner is like! What a pain I though the hole idea with buying from a dealer is if the car had problems they would sort them before they sell it! Not sell it then wait for the new owner to notice before they do anything bad practice in my books :( never mind! The RCZ in its own right is a good car so def will be getting another ASAP

I personally would have reservations about buying privately unless there is a substantial period of warranty remaining. However, I also understand your logic.

Good luck with everything and please keep us posted.

Hand it back to the dealer and go find a better dealer. DO NOT EVER pay money for Guard X / Supaguard or whatever else they might call it. They charge you £400 odd quid to get a valet monkey to wash and wax the car. It is a total con.

Put it this way. I was talking to a dealer sales rep the other day and he gets £80 per car sold and £50 if he sells Supaguard/Guard X etc. Cost of a car between £10-£25k. Cost of Supaguard £400. You can see where they make their biggest profit...

Give the car back, just because its a peugeot approved does'nt make it a good car, lots are ex lease cars and have been abused, its pot luck. I was lucky in that I found the previous owner on this site, so I could check my cars history

Yeah that's the problem with dealers! You never know about the car or person that owned it before hand, They know I'm not happy and have been stamping my feet hence the meeting tomorrow! They seemed more happy to do business with my wife without my presents as I believe it's that all to well thing of its a lady she doesn't know! Which has got me into massive arguments with garages in the past where they haven't done a service or say the changed parts when I've clearly put tipx on them lol and low and behold there's my tipx after so called air filter change :) anyway I'll keep you guys posted on how I get on and if all goes pear shape I'll let people know of the garage so they can make up there own minds where to buy from them .

Yeah your right I've also had this argument with the wife asking her why she added it and where's the proof of it! They said it also protects the seats and leather dash? How does this miracle stuff work I dunno I believe they say they done it when in fact I've been charged for a Hoover lol I'll be bring this up tomorrow as well! As I want my money back for it as I've had to clean it to get the orange stains out the pain! ( I did leave half the back so he can see the difference In me cleaning it and them! Ie no scratch marks as I machined it)

Good result - well done. Too many people roll over and let the dealer dictate to them. It's you that's doing the dealer a favour in buying from him, not the other way round.
Hope all goes well once it's totally sorted
