cost of clutch replacement (who in the Midlands?) - cost of uprated clutch fit (stage 1 road use only) - with /without flywheel

Just bought my 80k Hdi

Pedal is heavy and has feeling of air in hydraulics for first inch, bites right at top of travel and judders lightly when taking up slack after resting overnight.

Engages without slip, even in 4th and 5th with full throttle from 1500rpm through boost onset

Is the clutch slave inside or outside housing as there is a whiff of burnt oil and wondering if oil dripping onto clutch overnight could be the problem - How to resolve?

The dual mass flywheel could be reaching the end of its service life, springs gone slack in the discs giving you a strange bite, judder. Could have had a spirited driving style, hard not to 😀. 80k is in the window of clutch life depending on those things. When your getting the clutch done it is probably a good idea just to get the slave done at the same time, avoid future issues, but also you mech will also guide you in relation to the crank oil seal.
I would have thought that if oil was getting onto the clutch you would have noticed a bit of slipping.

The clutch on the RCZs are all high up on the grab if that's what's worrying you and takes a bit of getting used to....

thks, no its the light judder after parking overnight as i reverse up drive slope ultra slowly whilst allowing a little slip.

Doesnt appear to b an issue after that first manoeuvre
