Correct battery needed

The tray will allow a battery with the dimensions 278 mm length x 175 mm depth x 195 mm height. The OEM Peugeot-marked battery that was in my car was 242 mm length x 175 mm depth x 195 mm height. It was an AGM battery. The negative pole clamp was quite different and had I installed a 278 mm length x 175 mm depth x 195 mm height battery, I would have needed to get a new clamp.
Be advised that replacing the battery is not very straightforward. You need to remove/dismantle quite a few elements in the engine bay. It is not difficult to do but does take a bit of time and thought.
