Cooling system error message

Good evening,
I have recently purchased a RCZ 200cv Asphalt, year 2012 and 153000 Km (95000 miles approximately). I have already appeared twice the message "check the coolant level", but the liquid is all right and the temperature indication is correct at 90 degrees (about 194 F). I have seen that the cooling fan often starts even if the engine temperature is low. The old owner told me it's the temperature sensor to replace. I would like to know if it gave you the same problem. thank you very much for the replies.

I had the same problem was told don’t bother with cheap copy’s eBay etc…So bought one from main dealer came in roughly £70
…and I still get the message even though coolant level is spot on max line

Ok thanks, I'll have the sensor replaced anyway. Even if it seems that it is not the solution.
A software update may be needed, but my mechanic is not peugeot and I believe that he can't do software updates.

I have the 200 but that issue was fixed with a new level sensor I didn't replace the thermostat tank until it leaked a long time after so it may need the code wiping off the ECU?

ok, so the problem isn't the temperature sensor, but the level sensor. however there aren't any errors via the OBD check

Is the EML light still showing? The temp sensor will trigger the fan if ECU detects a temperature fault (faulty sensor?) try cleaning the prongs on the level sensor as they become gunged up? Also check the cap on the bottle these can emit coolant under high pressure mine was blowing out a minimal amount & I only found out when I noticed white spot (coolant/anti freeze) traces under the bottle
