coolant light

just done a 1000 miles and its telling me to top up the level of coolant...had the 1000 mile check on saturday should they off checked this?????
is there a percefick coolant that i should use???

I thought it was part of the 1000 mile check - that's all they do - check all the levels.

this is wot i thought.....that was a waste of time them checking it then!!!!!they will have to re-check it then..

Have you checked the level yourself?

The level could have been fine when the dealer checked it and it could be you have developed a leak since this and the sensor is doing its job and warning you of a problem.

Whats the news? Has the car been in to the dealers for them to look at the source of the coolant loss?

had to top mine up twice its done 1400miles and goes in for the 1month check this saturday! same with most brand new cars.
