Picked the new Z up today and have spent most of it working out the controls and settings for the sat nav and radio,

Seems Peugeot have changed the Sat Nav system and radio but haven’t changed the handbook !!
Thanks for that Peugeot, only cost me an extra £600 be nice if you updated your handbook

Peugeot have updated the handbook (unless your dealer gave you one for the old model).
If you look in the Manual sectio of this forum you will find a 2013 handbook which has the updated Sat Nav in it.

Cheers for that RCZ1

To be honest I much prefer the look of the old media system then the new one, was easy to navigate around and cosmetic looked better.

Yes I have to say I was disappointed to see that there is now a gap in the fascia, the same as on my non Sat Nav RCZ. I don't understand why Peugeot insist on putting that gap in, it ruins the look totally. I paid £700 to get rid of that gap but it's still there :(
I noticed the buttons on the stereo are extremely small too. Good job you can control it from the steering wheel.

Have you got any pics of your new RCZ? Can't wait to see it :)

I agree with you totally why Peugeot had to make such a big change to the apperance of the system is beyoned me :eusa-think:

I haven't taken any pics yet apart from the ones I put on when I first saw the car back 5 weeks ago, but I will say I've had two complete starngers come up to me today and say how they like the look of the black arches.

I'm taken it to be detailed tomorrow so will post the pics then, but it does look good, and I'm sure your going to love yours when it comes, did you go for the black arches ?

Oh yes, I forgot you were having it professionally detailed. Looking forward to seeing it.

Yes I've got the black arches too and was a little surprised that they are textured. Not sure what is on them but I've asked Liz from the FB page if she can find out what they are made off so that we can clean and protect them properly.

Good news about the comments you've had too :)

Yes positive comments about the arches, and I still can’t think of the right word on how best to describe them, I don’t think they will be prone to scratching like the chrome ones due to the material used.

Yours will look great with the black arches the grey does to.

Thank you for that, much appreciated  However I have to say that so far I have not heard a single comment to suggest that by changing the Sat Nav that there have been any upgraded/improvements. In fact all comments suggest the opposite. Thank goodness for my "jukebox"

Yes Ron a little disappointed in the media system, which they could have improved in so many ways, but the sheer beauty of the car makes up for it :p

Don't get me wrong the car is undoubtedly gorgeous  We had loads of niggles with the NG4. Some of which have been resolved with firmware updates others have been overcome by patience. However the new RT6 seems not to have made an improvement with regard to postcode entry, now you don't even have the 5 digit entry we complain about. You don't have the jukebox, which took forever to upload your music to. They have resolved that issue now but you don't have it at all now. I await to hear something good about the RT6.

Okay. You fortunate owners of the 2013 model. Tell us what is better about the RT6 over our NG4

The saving grace for me is that it's DIFFERENT from what I have in Pearl, so it will be nice to have something different to play with and look at.

Looking at those interior pics of the new sat nav media system and I'm not sure i like that gaping hole, maybe ok for sunglasses though?

Opal white GT with type 1 matt stripe.

That's EXACTLY where my Ray Bans live. I'd be lost without that gap. Do think the RCZ could have the little cubby hole in the ceiling for sunglasses as in the VW Golf. It's a nice and classy little touch. Pug do need to get a DAB radio on the go though. Surprising how many manufacturers seem to have forgotten about the analogue switch off!!
