hi
i purchased my RCZ automatic 2012 in april 2018 since then ive had the same problems every 4-5 weeks apart the battery light comes on and starts bleeping, saying STop battery faulty and electric need charging . only once i had the engine light come on and stayed on. i had this looked into
i did get a 1 year warranty with my RCZ. i have been back to peugeots on numerous occassions.
i love My RCZ but i feel so disheartened now. everytime i take her back to peugeots they come up with different things they need to do .

but the battery light still comes on and goes after couple of seconds..

please can anyone advise.
im so reluctant to go back to peugeots now i have no faith in them at all
thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum, shame your first post is about problems  I can understand your frustration with your dealer if you have a warranty then they should sort it to your satisfaction if they’re failing you try contacting Peugeot customer service and see if they can do something for you.

Stupid question really but have they changed the battery?

All cars have faults some time in their lives, just stick with it, once they've found the problem and fixed it, you'll be glad you did.

Good luck and let us know how you get on, it might help someone else with similar issues.

I can’t believe they haven’t changed the battery, that would have been the first thing! Definitely worth trying for the price of a battery. Hope it works for you

A lot of spurious electrical faults are caused by a faulty battery, this has been shown on many occasions. It might cost to replace or have the garage replace under warranty, but you can bet that the battery is not covered.
I wouldn't be surprised if the faults clear up when the battery is replaced.
Hope you sort it soon, because the RCZ just wants to be driven.

When I got mine last February the battery died within 1 month, as I had a 3 month warranty, I got a replacement F.O.C. under the warranty, even though the dealer said it was checked as part of their inspection.

Yes that's true of a garage warranty which basically says, anything wrong in the next 3 months come back and we'll sort it.
Whereas a warranty company's policy is limited to drive train, gearbox etc and then that's when all the exclusions apply, for example parts classed as wear and tear, like brake pads, clutch plates and batteries. Blah blah blah...

To be honest, going on my experience in the past with Peugeot dealers I'd just do simple stuff like changing a battery myself.

I did a coil pack and battery on my RCZ myself, I just knew I'd be without the car for 11 years and be shafted for "diagnostics" if I involved a dealer.
