Cheap Winter Tyres

I Know this might sound simple :? but really its only the 2 front tyres that need to be changed over to a winter tread as they steer and pull the car. Buying 4 new tyres is a massive cost and of course a bit of a gamble with the weather,if it where me l would buy 2 for the front and see how much a difference they make :?: :?:

I agree, I only used two on the front before I had the RCZ, but with summers still on the back it can make it a bit tail happy.

I figured with the RCZ, it having more power and £££ more than my previous motors, I didn't want to risk just having two on the front.

Plus insurers these days tend to be more insistent on having all four winter tyres.

My Dad still just works the two on his 308 though.

I phoned my insurer and they insisted that all four wheels are fitted with tyres that are of the right profile and dimension.

Nope they count it as a safety enhancement rather than a modification. My insurer is Admiral.

That's what I was told last year  When I told them about my profile change I used the argument that it was surely better to have them than still run my summers and end up in the ditch costing my insurers thousands - it worked

This dealership truly are a bunch of incompetent monkeys. Phoned to book in my winter tyres and the earliest they can do it is Thursday...no big deal I think to myself. I explain that I'm a teacher so the earliest I can get out to them is 4pm. I can do any day after that time or any time on a Saturday. They aren't doing Saturdays now I'm told....despite that being the day that I have previously had all work carried out. They also can't guarantee that the work will be carried out because they don't book jobs in after 3pm...because their techs don't work after 5:30pm. It's a freaking change of tyres and balancing...not a replacement engine being fitted!!! Aaaaarghh!!!

nightmare! How come they're not doing Saturday mornings now? Lack of business :eusa-think: Oh I dread the day I need work done.

Can you not take your car out there for 8am and still be back in town in time to start work ...maybe not using a Swift?!!

I'm solely using them because they presently have my winter tyres there. I was extremely tempted to tell them I've changed my mind about the whole thing, would like a refund and would get them elsewhere.

Alright alright Cole Trickle...sadly the 500 doesn't fare so well in the winter so Jen will mostly be relying on me and public transport. A point I shall labour when(/if) the snow falls.

A 208 Allure, huh? Very nice. I was looking at them closely today on the dealership. They're really rather cool. There are a couple of really dodgy colours, which colour did Avril choose?
