Change Rear Look from Normal RCZ to RCZ R

Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone has ever changed the rear look of a normal RCZ (156 or 200) for the rear look of a RCZ R?

I was thinking on doing it, so I guess I need to change the rear boot spoiler, and need those single exhaust tailpipes (1 for each side), and also that part that goes under the rear bumper.

Can someone point me into the right direction, like which are the part numbers of the required parts, and also if someone knows about prices and where to buy?

Many thanks to everyone!

I like the rear of the R, but mainly the exhausts, as I personally prefer the active spoiler. :eusa-think:

Go to agree about the Active Spoiler. I know the R apparently needs that whale tail fixed wing for downforce at speed, etc. but the active spoiler is without doubt one of the best features on a car ever - pure poetry in motion - so it's a shame they had to go and replace it on the R. They should have had the fixed wing with an active section on that - now that would really be something to behold!!

This is for the exhaust trims but you will also need crossover pipe, valance etc.

Spoiler is the one greyed out at top right.

It's fixed and it's based on my vin for my RCZ-R.

This one is for the standard RCZ

Why not?

Because it's not a R and never will be !

Either buy the real thing or just appreciate the RCZ he has at the moment, the way it is.

Why make it into something it's not? I'll never understand why people do that. Who are they trying to fool ?

As far back as the 60's people were sticking Cooper badges on their 850cc Mini's. It's always happened and always will - there's nothing wrong with it. It's his car after all and he can do whatever he wants with it. And rightly so.

Not trying to fool anyone.
I just like the look of the R and want that rear look.

At the end of the day, its almost like changing a set of alloys for one that you enjoy more

Yes you are free to do whatever you wish to your car, there's no denying it. I just personally don't understand why people try and make a car look something different. Yes I know it's gone on for years. People trying to make their Porsche look like a 911 Turbo etc etc or sticking badges on proclaiming it to be a different model.

Sorry but nothing on the costs.

Steve Ansell (RCZPERFORMANCE) had a lot to do with parts for modifying he is now selling through eBay but you can always ask.
Don't know if the website is still up for info www.rczperformance.com

On a side note the RCZ-R is not the only RCZ with the RCZ-R exhaust.

It's on the GT-Line as well.

I totally get that, and to some extent agree with it, but that would make me a hypocrite, because when I was younger, I did exactly that to both my first Mini & my Escort Sport.

I can see how someone might love the look of an RCZ R & if they already own a car that looks almost like one, then why not spend that bit more to make it look exactly how they want it, when they probably can't go all the way to buy the real thing.

I don't really see the harm in it, but if I had an R I might possibly think differently :eusa-think:

It's not anything to do with owning a R. It's a thought I've always had. I've seen so many bad examples of cars being made to look like another and they look horrendous. But hey ho! Each to their own ! My last word on the subject. To the OP, no malice intended I just had to ask the question why?

No problem at all, I honestly think all opinions are valid, we can't like everything and have the same thoughts.
By changing the look of my RCZ, I don't want it to look like a "wanna be RCZ R".

I just kinda like the look of it. Don't want to put any badge on it.

And for example, as the front, I hate the facelift look, and would never buy one with that look.

At the end of the day as I said, it's just about personal taste, and putting the car the way I like it :)

The GT-Line has the exhaust and diffuser which is also on the RCZ-R, the visual difference between them is the RCZ-R also has a fixed spoiler (GT-Line has automatic spoiler).
