Well I gave Ruby her winter detail today. As part of the process I used my CG Clay mitt. What a wonderful innovation :thumbup:

I had a bucket, quarter filed with shampoo and water, to wet and rinse the mitt. I had already washed my car using the ONR rinseless method. I used clay lube (diluted CG Synthetic Detailer) to wet the panels before moving the clay mitt over it. Just rinsed the mitt regularly to free any contaminants stuck on the mitt (not that you see any!). It's quite unnerving as you can really hear the mitt picking up the contaminants and as Mr Rizz said, so much easer to get into nooks and crannies. All finished to leave a glass like finish :)

I didn't use Tardis or Iron X, I just wanted to see how good the clay mitt was and it didn't disappoint.

Worth every single penny :thumbup:

Any pics.
Doing my full winter detail tomorrow. Weather forecast is good so hoping for a full day on the car but without a clay mitt. Using a fine clay bar instead.:grin:

Unfortunately I haven't got any pics yet. It was 5.30pm when I finished, in the dark, so I'm hoping to get some photos tomorrow.

I used some new products for my winter detail, which I'm very impressed with. So easy to use and just so, so easy to buff off to leave an immense wet look to the paintwork. It's a new patented formula of a combined wax/sealant but in liquid form as opposed to those that are normally in wax pots. Claimed to last 12-15 months, so will be interesting to see how it lasts.

Hope the weather holds out for you tomorrow and don't forget the pics :)

Lol sorry got carried away by my enthusiasm for the products, I didn't realise I hadn't said what they were :)

Polish Angel, from Germany.
I used one of their polishes, Esclate

Followed by Famous, the wax/sealant in liquid form.

I also got some of their Red Opal to use, as a top up, now and again

I also intend to apply a couple of coats of my Black Magic Detail Helios wax, when I next wash the car.

Very, very impressed with Polish Angel :thumbup;

I'm off to follow the links. I was hoping the sample pots of DW's Durus would be ready soon as I REALLY need to get some protection on the car!!

Yes I was too when I had a look at their website. The thing that attracted me to Famous was that it's a liquid carnauba wax/sealant. I was looking for something that gave good durability for the winter and as I much prefer carnauba on red paint, this seemed to be the solution. You can visibly see the carnauba flakes when you are applying it. It's just the easiest thing to apply and remove.
