After having chain, hpf pump, low pressure fuel pump, and caralytic converter fitted over 4 months still getting engine fault light coming up.
I am going back next week for fuel filter change as engine fault light came up on leaving from Cat fitting, garage gave road test before pick up but think that when I put fuel in just after leaving, a new fuel filter could well be a fix.Anyone familiar with this please.
Also can fine scratches on silver coloured roof arches be polished out with fine scratch removing compound suitable for bodywork scratches, are arches coated or bare metal?

There is no external fuel filter on the RCZ (except on some African models). You'll then replace the internal tank filter although that should not be a problem. What does your OBD2 reading suggest might be the issue?

Do they use the correct diagnostic equipment?
Peugeot/Citroen are notoriously difficult to read if you're not using the correct gear.

You CAN read them with generic readers, but you won't get the full picture.

Your getting your fingers burnt as there is no filter in the Euro market RCZs Firstly I would tell them to take it on the road hooked up to the scanner to get a live reading for the high & low fuel trims?
The cat problem is an emissions fault which may be the engine is burning too lean/rich which could mean fuel pressure issues & point to the fuel rail ?

Thanks all for suggestions, garage says they use Peugeot diagnostic scanner. Can putting E5 unleaded or super unleaded switch over make any difference? I was using new E10 for a while before garage reccomended super unleaded

"Peugeot diagnostic scanner" hmm.
Maybe I'm a bit cynical.

I once used a "Peugeot specialist" who couldn't deactivate the TPS in my first 407 with his supposed Peugeot diagnostic scanner. An hour later it cost me £30 for the warning to come back up a mile later.

So I bought pp2k and did it myself.
Took all of 3 minutes.

Should not be a problem, the engine is capable of using a much higher E value for gasoline.

I would suggest buying an OBD2 scanner for 20 quid and seeing the problem yourself. If your mechanic knows what he's doing, then it should be fixable in a week (if in need of parts). When my RCZ was giving me issues, my mechanic fixed it every time in a short period of time because he knew what to do and did not charge me for unnecessary repairs (catalyst, etc.).

Spot on, the garage fitted a shite ebay Chinese hpfp and then couldn't work out why engine mis fired. Then convinced me it was the catalytic converter which they replaced. Of course problem still occurring I finally went to Tolley Peugeot Colchester who fitted proper part and told me I had been dealing with incompetents who need the diagnostic kit and training to use it. I reclaimed £800 full cost back from Barclaycard as a breach of contract between EV TECH of Harlow and myself. I hope they take it back from the tossers who caused stress, inconvenience and much wasted time. As Terry Thomas would have said, THEY ARE A SHOWER AN ABSOLUTE SHOWER!
