Cars that dissapoints most in the Flesh.

Had a rather strange experience today. I'm a big time petrol head. I LOVE my cars. I love tinkering, cleaning, looking at just everything.

One of my favourites that i have been fortunate to drive was an early Audi R8. It was red, an early V8 just blew my mind I loved the looks, the sound the feel.

Today I saw this in white, same wheels... and was so disappointed. So underwhelmed by the looks in person.

Im very rarely disapointed by a sports car.. so it was quite a shock to be so bored looking at it.

Especially surprised after my RCZ is the same colour scheme

Question goes out which car has disappointed you the most when you've seen it in the flesh?

Re: Cars that dissapoint in the Flesh.

the car I got disappointed the most when seeing in the flesh has to be the Koenigsegg CCX they looked so boring in the flesh when in reality they are bonkers.

It was at Geneva Motorshow they had 2 parked up on there stand forgot the year was not impressed, I cheered myself up by looking at the Pagani Zonda F roadster and the Bugatti Veyron :) lol

I love the Audi R8 and was not disappointed when I saw one in the Audi showroom.

The car that I feel most disappoints me and I really don't understand why people seem to rave about them so much is the Audi A3. To me they just look so boring, have nothing about them that say "look at me".

I'm not just saying this!! I have loved the Audi TT ever since I first saw one. My wife desperately wants one. So I went to buy one. Sat in it and got out again. Did the same thing with the mark 2. It just felt so claustrophobic in there. So I have never test drove one despite going to twice and now I feel that they look dated, but my lady still wants one. So me thinks when her Buggsey is due for renewal there will be an RCZ and a Audi on the drive (but I will never drive it)

Friend of mine has the TT, and as Ron say's, it really is a tight cabin. I have only been a passenger in one so cant really comment on driving one.

I do think though that the pic of the Audi that Figo has put up is just lovely. I would buy that car, then again i havent seen one that close up in the "flesh" ?

jactac I went to buy one. I went twice to buy one. I don't do the whole market research bit. I see a car, I like it, do the deal and buy it. I simply felt claustrophobic both time and I do not suffer claustrophobia

I was dissapointed by the Lamborghini Gallado. I got inside, and first off, no satnav. £150,000, and no satnav! The drivng postion was horrible, as i had nowhere to put my left leg. On the plus side, it sounds amazing, and does drive pretty damn well! Almost as good as the RCZ :D
