Carbon Wrap

Hi, just bought a 10 plate 1.6 THP today. Hopefully pick it up on Saturday. I am toying with the idea of getting this Carbon Wrap thing on the roof. I saw a car for sale which had it and it looked really nice. Has anyone had it done recently and if so, what sort of price are we talking and was it worth it?

Thank you

Hi, my car has the genuine carbon fibre roof which is offered as a Peugeot accessory but at £1300 a bit pricey and mirror covers to match at over£300 a pair!
I have seen one wrapped with a carbon vinyl and it did look quite good I would have thought you could get it done for around £150 but there are many different qualities of vinyl and like anything you get what you pay for.

Thank you for your replies. I've since spoken to a car dealer friend who has advised against getting the vinyl wrap so I think I'll leave it. I'm worried I would be disappointed and it wouldn't look a patch on the genuine fibre roof. Maybe if I decide I want to get another RCZ in a couple of years I can get one that has the roof on already.

Did he give a reason why he advised against it?

I have a friend who has their RCZ roof and wing mirrors wrapped in carbon fibre and they look fantastic - even up close. I'm thinking of having my wing mirrors done.

The thing with a wrap is it can be removed. The real carbon fibre roof actually adds weight to the car, which is a bad thing, I think.

No he didn't actually. I will have to ask him. Do you know how much your friend payed for the wrap? However I understand that price will include the wing mirrors too.

The roof was already done when she bought the car. I think these days the going rate is around £150. It's worth shopping around. Maybe £200 to include the wing mirrors. Go for the good stuff 3M

Thank you. The Peugeot dealer I'm buying from is going to get the guy they use to give me a ring. If I decide to get it I'll get it done before picking the car up. I'll see if he does the 3m. Thanks
