Its mostly down to personal preference. There are so many different ones that do different things.

I personally prefer to use Gyeon products. They are more sealants than waxes though.
But theres also gtechnic and meguiars or even auto glym.

Just be careful with any waterless cleaning products. I have read they can damage your paintwork (the dreaded Swirl)

Makes sense really if you are putting them onto paintwork that hasn't been washed :eusa-think:

I fully endorse Bouncer's range of waxes (if you're going down the route of waxes as opposed to sealants). They're absolutely superb!! http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/Category/bouncer (Note - they're available elsewhere too).

As for Polish, the Dodo Juice 'Supernatural Micro Prime" Polish is top notch. Not to abrasive so won't be too harsh on softer paint but with strong enough cutting agents to make your car a knockout shine. Before you apply any of your chosen product, make sure that you decontaminate the paintwork first. Also remember to polish the car BEFORE waxing it. ;)

I've never been sold on the idea of not using water  I have always done a pre wash first with a couple buckets thrown over the car before a soapy wash.

I've never been sold on the idea of not using water  I have always done a pre wash first with a couple buckets thrown over the car before a soapy wash.

I have always given the car a thorough rinse with a hose before starting a wash with warm water & car shampoo & soft sponge.

If you could look closely at the paint surface, you would see the small particles of dirt/grit that builds up from normal day to day usage.

Anything applied straight to this surface without rinsing it off first is bound to combine with this making an abrasive amalgam, even a sponge with warm soapy water directly on this surface will drag these particles accross the surface which cannot be a good thing.

This is why I would never use any waterless product on my car, unless I had washed it first  kind of defeats the object really :eusa-think:

Snow foam is applied before any water. It works really well to get the grime off, making it easier when it comes to shampoo :D

This is snow foam after 5 mins.

ONR optimum no rinse is pretty safe but even it's using a certain amount of water so strictly speaking low water not no water. Wax/sealant pays ur money makes ur choice from Gtechniq C2v3 for a tenner up to how ever much u wanna spend. Sealants tend to last longer thou waxes tend to suit dark colours more.

I use valetpro ph neutral snow foam. You need either a pressure washer and a snow foam lance, or a snow foam hand sprayer.

+1 for the Valet Pro PH Neutral Snow Foam.

Reminds me, I need some more snow foam. I think the one I'm nearly out of is Valet Pro cherry snow foam. It's been a while since buying any detailing kit that I can't remember who I last used, I think it was elite. Who do you guys normally use?

Any forum discount codes? I think there used to be one on detailing world but I've not been on there for many years.
