Hi Bigmac,

Thank you for the welcome, unfortunately I have spoken to my dealership today and they cannot get hold of a magnetic now for 6 months so I have had to change my order to a pearl white GT 1.6THP with, Black pack, 19"sortilege onyx black alloys, RT6 sat nav and JBL hi-fi system. I'm sure she will still be lovely though.

I am going to Swansway in Chester to have the autodab radio put in on Friday. They have a new pearl RCZ in the showroom which I think may match your spec. I will look closer on Friday and report back. If it is the same perhaos you could get them to do a dealer swap with your dealer and get it sooner???

JBL does not add a lot of value, by that I mean that the difference between JBL and standard is negligible at best, whereas the vision pack is a must have option and the difference is immense.

As Ron said...The vision pack=really is just xenon headlamps, but the thing is on the new bumpered rcz they have a dark grey bezel  and looks great,NON vision packed rcz have a aluminium coloured bezel and they dont look that great in my opinion, plus you get the benefits of a much brighter light on dark roads with the xenons/vision pack.

the difference between the standard stereo and the jbl stereo is negligable

Not just Xenon jassy, you get directional headlamps, follow me home feature and I think that auto lights is unique to the vision pack, plus of course the auto headlamp adjustment and washers and to top it all off you get tyre pressure sensors thrown in. ( not too sure why they come with this pack, but there you go.) Image how good those dark bezels look on a Pearl White

Follow me home feature and auto lights are now standard on all models. Before the facelifted model they were just on the GT models.

Ron, Follow me Home & Auto Light is not specific to the Xennon vision pack, I had these features on my original 156 GT non-vision pack Z.

Catdiver123 both Jassy and Ron are correct though the Vision Pack is a must and the one thing I regretted not getting on my original Z, but have corrected and got it 2nd time around.

Hi Guys,

Think we better take a closer look at this vision pack instead of the JBL then. Thank you all for your advice it really is good to hear someone else's opinion.

Hi there, I have the vision pack as a result of reading the advice on the Forum. I haven't driven at night yet but on seriously wooded lanes the lights turn corners with ahead of you to light the way - great fun! More importantly the smoked glass covering the lights looks seriously good with the pearl paint. I am really glad I added this extra and would 100% recommend it. Did not go for the jbl so cannot comment on that.

A word of warning, modifications to your order may put you further back in the order queue so beware.

This just proves why being part of a forum is so valuable when your looking at purchasing a car you have not had before. I have now ordered the vision pack and cancelled the jbl. Thank you all for your advice on this subject it is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for being too lazy to go and get the book out and check before posting. The problem for me (if it is a problem) is that I have the GT with all the extras, and so remembering what would have been standard is not easy for me
