Clunk Clunk Clunk...

Ok, so two Pug dears and still no answers!

To say I'm at the end of my tether is an understatement... Option 1. Return to trader under the consumer rights act, as the car is not of satisfactory quality (fourth fault to date within 6 months of ownership). I will lose about 3.5K - 4K with this option due to mileage and monies
I have spent on upgrades. Option 2. Sourse a reputable 'old school' specialist and see if they can identify and fix the issue.

The problem I'm having each time I take the car to Peugeot, is trying to explain that the car needs to be driven for 20+ minutes in order for the noise to surface (not just warming the engine before a short drive). Also by the time I drop the car off and wait to be served, fill in the paperwork and the licence check etc, its 30 minutes since the car was last driven so when I take the technician out to demonstrate the noise, I'm unable to recreate it because the car's components have cooled down to much.

Oh, I almost forget.... here is the problem.... http://www.penninehomesecurity.com/rcz-clunking

Opinions anyone!

1. Check.. Engine and gearbox mounts all good.
2. Check.. All bushings appear ok.

I'm no expert but here's my tuppence worth:

Only happens when warm/hot - maybe the Gearbox oil level is too low or the wrong type. A change of oil should not cost too much so maybe give it a try first.

As for a "notchy" gear change - Mine is the same, Peugeot said it was normal for a "sporty" gearbox. I'm not sure whether I believe them but I've got used to it.

The only other thing I can think of is worn driveshafts.

Good luck, and let us know the outcome.
