Hello one and all. Having been a member of your fine forum for a long time I have finally decided that the RCZ is the car for me. It was a choice between the VW Scirocco , AUDI TT and RCZ. Having read a number of very useful posts and admired many images I was sold on the sheer road presence of the RCZ.
I have ordered the entry level petrol in opal white which is very well specked for the asking price. I will hopefully collect it on 2nd Sep all going well. When I was in the showroom I saw a very shiny chrome gear knob which I would like to fit myself.
Can anyone advise how the original is removed as it appears to be the lift to reverse type. I don't want to cause any damage as my DIY moto is " if it ain't broke ill fix it till it is " I am the guy who has to turn that screw or nut an extra turn to be sure to snap it.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Welcome :)

:greetings-wavingblue:

From what Ive read on a 308 forum, you unclip the gaiter, then turn the knob 90 degrees in either direction and pull until it comes off.
Be careful not to punch yourself in the face though. (Ive done that on my old 206 :eusa-shhh: )

Hey there! Welcome to the forum and (shortly) the world of RCZ ownership. I think you've made a fine choice. I too had been torn between the RCZ and Scirocco but they won't turn heads like the RCZ does...and you can actually see out the back of it unlike the Scirocco!!!

I haven't actually seen the gear knob of which you speak. Might have to search around for an image of it!
