Buying a used RCZ R buyers guide?

Hi. We are contemplating buying a used RCZ R, low mileage under 10k, buying from a reputable dealer. Are there any faults or problems that we should be aware of when buying one?
Many thanks Warren

The only problem with the R reported so far is that the early models had screeching brakes/pads but I believe there was a recall on these so just make sure that the one you are interested in has had this done. Otherwise all is good with the R. Plenty of smiles per miles :)

Rs still might suffer from the temperature sensor issue, but it's an easy fix. Free if still in warranty.

You may wish to ask specifically your dealer about these known issues, if the vehicle has experienced them and what would happen if it did in the year (6 months, 6 weeks, whatever) after you bought it.

I was not happy with cold start noise from chain tensioner. Just had it checked by dealer, (Mileage 3200) they have confirmed no problem.
Just check seat stiching on side lumbar support where it meets the seat base. mine has come undone, waiting dealer fix.

However I can forgive this car almost anything, they are the most under rated cars out there. I've had Lotus / Porsche / TVR / Westfield etc., the R is head and shoulders above anything, fantastic car. Not only for performance and handling, just visited my Mum 600 mile round trip London and back = average 54 mpg !!!!!.

Best regards

Hi, before you buy second hand I just noticed numerous new listings on eBay for a main dealer selling their new RCZ stock off and they have a new R for £20k check it out sounds like a bargain.

Good luck.

OMG!!!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2015-Peugeot- ... 2c9e8f5b82

WHY won't my OH let me buy this :helpme:   :brickwall:

What an amazing spec car for THAT much :wtf:

If divorce lawyers were just that bit cheaper...... :eusa-think:

Btw look carefully at the full spec of these if you are interested, cos a lot of the pictures show Moroccan Reds & the car is actually grey. There are some Moroccans but they are more expensive. Go figure :eusa-think:

What a price! Bargain!

I paid for mine back in Nov 2013 around 24000GBP incl a proper discount.
This price here is bollocks. I wouldn't hesitate if I were you...

Can't believe some of those prices!... As said earlier buy a new one!
It would appear the arse has well and truely fallen out of the "new" rcz market.
Luckily mines a company car and am happy for the price to plumet so I can buy it cheap later on

But on the other hand stuck paying tax on list price for ,3 years :x

Hi, contacted the dealer yesterday, and asked him to check the availability, confirm the spec, colour, year and mileage, on the advert it says it a 2015 model but in the ad details it says a 2013 model????
The dealer never got back to me so I am not sure if this is a genuine ad.
Has anybody else had any luck or got in contact?
Thanks Warren

My wife just tried ringing the dealer again this morning, and the sales person said they don't know anything about the car they have for sale for £20999, they have had several calls about it, the sales person said he will ring back with an update, but they said that yesterday and never did!!!

Think it's a bogus ad!!!!!

Can this be passed on to some sort of body ie government, trading standards etc about advertising something that they don't have?

We will give the dealer a couple of hours to see if they respond back to us, if they don't
I will report the item to ebay, but many thanks again for the tip about the car.
Thanks Warren
