Hi all,

I have looked at the Peugeot rcz workshop manual to see how to change the breather hose on the cylinder head cover. See pictures.

Can anyone help tips will be appreciated.

Looks like it removes but is rock solid.

Regards Rick

Probably have to remove the cover to take out the rest of the pipe they may be a push fit as looks like its a flange type moulding on the end of the hose to the rocker cover which needs to be pushed through from the inside out & if your remove this cover you may need a new seal depending on the old one but it must be done properly or it will just keep leaking oil everywhere as others have found out

Thanks Pedro, I will order a new complete intake pipe and remove the rocker cover and get a new seal as well.

I think you might need a new rocker cover. The pcv valve and breather outlet are built into the cover itself, and as far as I am aware it is not possible to dismantle

Are you sure you can’t get the remaining part of the breather hose off with some needle nose pliers?

Yep I found a crack in my breather hose. Luckily I was able to get it off of the crankcase cleanly

FYI - replacement air intake turbo hoses are a pain to fit. They seem around half an inch too short! I dont think you can by the breather hose on its own unfortunately.

I wonder if you could retro fit or rig one up you can buy Auto corrugated hoses on ebay I fixed a Fiat Ulysse with one & that was a B***ard to get right as its goes under the sump & up around the back of the Engine

The PCV is inside the rocker cover, you are replacing the piped feed from the turbo inlet. Dont mess with that end with anything that might break it as it will fall into your engine on the Cams or get sucked into the throttle body. The new Turbo inlet pipe should push straight in or clip in depending on the part number. The aftermarket ones also come with either clip in or push in PCV pipe depending on what you bought. The aftermarket ones are shorter as it would appear you found out and they are thinner i.e allow less air mass into the Turbo but still work fine. The genuine Peugeot part fits perfect. You can fit the aftermarket ones easier by adding a small length of pipe at the air filter end but it needs to be slightly less diamter to fit in the turbo pipe and the air filter end. Hope that helps.
