I can understand you must feel let down by your car & Peugeot.
Have you tried using a different device? Just a thought, it could be the device you are using, rather than the car.

If it proves to be the car after trying a different Bluetooth device, I would definitely have the car back to the dealership & ask them to sort it out. If there is a warranty, then they might have to replace the unit.

If there is no warranty, you might be better taking it to a specialist car audio centre. They would probably be cheaper and do a better job, but it will probably involve changing the unit in the car, these things are hardly ever repaired nowadays, just replaced.

Which system do you have??? RT6, NG4 RD3/4/5???

Just to narrow it down if someone else has/had this problem.

With the Sat Nav units, there is also a 7" closeable screen on the dash.

It's not as easy as unplug one and insert another as the new unit has to be programmed into the car.

It is doable though.

Have you tried to connect other devices to your car to see if they have the same problem?

I have the same problem with mine! My windows phone tho will stream it crystal clear but the apply stuff crackles! I've spoken to Peugeot and they have said it needs a update as the apple stuff has moved on in tech! I haven't had the time yet to send it in yet, I'll book it in next week and update you if it helps. Also a strange thing has happened sincere the latest Apple update is some times the sound will go so low on its own! The only to explain it is like the volume speed sensor thinks I'm doing 5 mph and the only way to get it back is hit the change song on the apply device lol. Anyway will update you, oh mines the none sat av if that helps

I've got a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and before that i had a Samsung Galaxy S Advance. Both phones streamed music without any noticeable crackles, but when speaking on the phone via the car's bluetooth my voice is heard as slightly metallic sounding to the person i'm speaking with. Not to a difficult degree but apparently you notice it. I haven't heard it myself.

I've got the non-satnav version.
