Black or Alloy roof arches

Hi everyone,

Looking for thoughts on what colour roof arches to go for on my new opal white.

Not sure if the matt black ones will look good against the gloss roof and the black door mirrors, but then it may add some contrast I guess,
Open to thoughts

It's difficult one to call this, because I don't think I can decide until I see them in the flesh.
I have the same concerns as you do along with the fact that they are matt finished too.

They would be different though and I did want the black ones when the RCZ was first launched however those were not going to be matt.

Decisions, decision ..... :eusa-think:

I agree. I think you'd need to see them in the flesh to decide. My gut instinct is that a carbon fibre effect roof may be one of the few roof options it will suit. I think the contrast between the gloss finish may be too great. You'd also want to be sure that you had black or shadow alloys as I think, again,it would look daft against silver ones.

The black arches will be high maintenance and prone to swirls/stonechips..etc but they will signify the new updated rcz more its a difficult call :( but they would look great on a white or red rcz with dark alloys.

are they not finished in a matte satin paint just like the asphalt's paint

Thanks for the thoughts on the subject,
I did think maybe they would have a kind of a satin finish to them but nobody knows,
I can only assume they must go with a gloss black roof otherwise Peugeot wouldn't advertise it do you think ? :eusa-think:

On the release photos of the 2013 RCZ - the white one. It has the black roof arches, black roof and the new alloys and I think it looks good. I would still like to see it in the flesh first though.

Yes RCZ1 I keep looking at the photos and I do like them, but as we said be better to see them in the flesh,

I did see the new alloys fitted to a 208 in the showroom, but didn't go much on them, so have kept with the same ones as I have now.

So do I take the chance and take one for the forum

Excuse my ignorance but if you got them and didn't like them could they not be swapped?

I guess you could, but at a cost for parts and labour, might be better to get them wrapped

Still thinking it over, How about this option RCZ1 !

instead of a gloss roof go for the black satin with matt black arches :eusa-think:

Although you were't asking me  ...I think that that sounds like one of the better options if you are fitting the black arches.

That then starts to bump the price up quite a lot although I see where you're coming from :)

I'm sure the matt roof arches must look good with the standard roof otherwise Peugeot wouldn't have introduced them - would they ??

I dunno RCZ1...have you seen some of the new decals? The one with the red stripe is particularly dodgy!
