Well, to kill some time, i thought I'd go to the local dealer and see what they would give me for my car and what deals i could get.
I test drove a fully specced brand new 508sw gt in bistre brown with cappocino interior. I loved it, it felt a bit racey with the flappy paddles.

The dilemma is, they would sell it to me for 13k if i traded the Z in. Its a demo with about 3k miles on it.
So do i go from my very own z to a brand new family car on finance?
My oh said that shes happy for me to keep the Z for another couple of years, but we are looking to move house and my daughter is always getting bigger so when she grows some legs she wont fit in the back of the Z lol.

I love my car, but im also thinking of the family :?

That's a tough one Abz and a decision that only you can make. Being a demo, I'm assuming that it's fully specced all over the place. Bistre wouldn't be my choice of colour but then I've never seen it in the metal.

Aesthetically, I think they're pretty stylish. Not having driven one I couldn't comment on the driving experience. One way to look at it would be with moving house etc, is now the right time to be spending 13k on a car? However, I also now know how much space a little one can demand and the RCZ must be a bit of nightmare to get Iris into...and it's only going to get worse when she's in a proper seat...and wriggling. It's a tough one buddy but I'm sure that you'll make the right decision for you!

I'm kind of several (well many actually) years down the road. I had a sporty saloon, but with a growing extended family, it became more and more difficult to manage, so we had to bite the bullet and chop it in for a 7 seat Zafira.
I compromised by having a full body kit fitted, and a few other mods, so it became a bit of a head turner and had performance to spare with its 2 litre engine.

As soon as it was no longer a neccecity to have all those seats, we swapped back to a Megane CC, which again had the looks, four full seats, and was specced up to the hilt. But performance was severely lacking, so to change into the Z was a dream come true for me. Even my kids have said they are happy knowing I have the car I have always dreamed of.

It's a very tough decision, and one that you know is inevitable at some point, but as Riz said, an expensive time approaches, so perhaps postponing the inevitable would be prudent for now.

The car you have found sounds amazing, although again, not my colour choice, but to be honest, you are likely to always be able to find that kind of deal, so maybe, enjoy the delights that is Z until leg room becomes more imperative, then see what's on offer closer to the point of no return.

But, it's a choice that I am glad is yours not mine

Put the kid in the boot using the cargo net to stop it rolling about

Well, after thinking long and hard all day. I have decided to keep the Z. At least for the time being. My OH has started wedding plans and with us looking to move, and the baby on our minds, I dont want another financial burden. I think once the move and wedding is out of the way, ill reassess. But on a plus note, my daughter does fit quite comfortably in the recaro seat in the back of the Z. And, and RCZ makes a better wedding car than an estate ;)

Lol. Im not sure. Who else would want one? Most of it can come off, so it would just be a Z with 20" black wheels, a quad exhaust and a zunsport grille, if i took off what i could.

That's quite high for a Demo ??
What age is the vehicle.

Make sure they throw in a service / check over before you sign on the dotted line / accept delivery.

What are you thinking?! You have a perfectly good 308 to swap away instead of the Z!
