Big Descision!

I have been researching buying a new (secondhand) vehicle for some time. I currently drive a Fiat Bravo diesel sport, but I am keen to switch to a petrol vehicle as the road mile tax in New Zealand is quite taxing!! I used to have a wee 206 and really enjoyed this little car but sold it, well, actually I traded in a Citroen diesel and the 206 for the new Fiat. Sort of cross pollinated the two! I live in the country and have to travel to get anywhere so something that can handle distances is a plus. I have a Toyota land cruiser to do the big pulling jobs, but a little fun runaround vehicle is necessary. I was thinking if another 206 or 207 when I spotted the RCZ and it was love at first sight! I am yet to try one out but I have looked at lots of reviews and then I spotted this forum. There is a 2012 model for sale in Christchurch which looks just lovely and they will trade in my Bravo for a good price. So, descisions?!

Welcome to the site :D
Both the petrols and diesels can handle long distances, and with premium fuel, you can get some pretty unbelievable MPG.

Have fun test driving one for the first time, Im sure you will love it ;)

Hello Carmen - you will enjoy any RCZ.
Having read your original post I was interested to see that there is a country (and more than 1 according to Wikipedia) that has a tax system that reflects your road use. Seems like a fairer system than as it is in the UK.
Wiki also suggests that it is born out of the fact that as cars are more fuel efficient governments are losing revenue on the fuel duty.
Good luck with your search for the prettiest car on the road.

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies. The RCZ I am going to look at is a 2012 115 KW Coupe. It's done 10,000 kilometres and the colour is pearl white. It has ivory leather seats. I'm not so hot on posting pics but I will try and post a photo or two in due course.

Oh so its not Christchurch Dorset then................ooh I feel such a plonker

Oh you are not a plonker Snowy. It's confusing, New Zealand has soo many English place names, especially the province of Canterbury!

Oh God!!! Talk about rash! I've just gone and done it! Bought the RCZ, sight unseen, except for the trademe ad!! It's all you guys fault I hope you know  So, I will go get it next week. I'd become so sure that that was the one I wanted that I would have been gutted if it had been sold on me. So, I'm now a proud owner of an RCZ

I have my little Zee home now! She is just fantastic. I am over the moon!! I stayed with my daughter on the way home. Woke up bright and breezy at two this morning and couldn't get back to sleep so I read the car's manual from front to back!!! So many features.

I was a bit sad
leaving my weeBravo. It's a bit like selling a family pet!

Anyway I am soo loving my wee car. I was abit worried about where my six year old granddaughter would sit, (front or back). She travelled in it for the first time today and was very happy and comfortable in the back. It was so much better in the back of the RCZ than she was in the Fiat Bravo! It was like a black hole she couldn't see out of. So that was a nice surprise.
