Saw this idea from a Japanese owner for anyone wanting the R look rear spoiler but wanting to keep the active option.
Would probably work more like an air brake than helping with downforce me thinks!

Well, I guess its a good 'idea'. However when it deploys its really not going to of any benefit except be a bit air brake lol.
If it actually looked like the R spoiler, I guess it would look better lol.

I would imagine that at higher speed it would put quite a strain on the “active” mechanism, as it’s designed to lift the stock spoiler.

I agree that the effect would probably be negative, rather than positive, but at least the owner has tried to make his/her Z their own, and I feel they are happy, who are we to knock them :eusa-think:
