Bar Code in Service Book?

Hi all,

In my service book I've two barcodes stapled to the front page - random question but does anyone know what they're for?

They are the key codes for your car.

There should be 2 smaller bar codes (1 for each key) this gives the frequency and codes for getting a new key.

I've classily scrubbed out some of the numbers just in case they're important!

Yes, indeed.
In fact I suggest the pics be doctored or removed as they could at present compromise the security of your car!
