Hi! First post here, but have been an avid reader for a while. I am at a loss, and registered to see if someone can come with a good suggestion.

I had a leak of coolant for a while, and finally got around to fixing it. This went well, but involved taking out the battery. Car went into economy mode after that, but started just fine and then ran as normal.

next day, after driving for a few hours and doing multiple stops, the engine wouldn’t start. Just a click from the engine, no crank. OBD reported p1067. Fiddleing a bit with the wireing on the battery got the car running , and worked just fine for a while.

then it stopped completely again, same error code. I finally found that id completely forgotten to tighten the negative pole. After doing that, the car started, twice, then after an hours driving it wouldn’t start again.

same errorr code. No luck disconnecting battery, nor trying to role start it. All this started from me having the battery in and out to fix a coolant leak. Seems unlikely it would be an unrelated problem.

any ideas how to get the car running, so i can get it home? Im currently two hours out.

Any ideas of what might be the issue? Supply unit and starter Has been suggested, but strange timing that they would fail right during a different fix.

Any and all help appreciated!

Make sure Battery is fully charged & perhaps get a voltage drop test the battery module should read at least 12.6 volts check all the connections/wiring perhaps get a scan on the battery charger starter & alternator system your looking to check the CCA cold cranking amps or possibly a faulty Battery module another issue is a battery drain in the power supply as when you crank the car the voltage should not go below 10 Amps

Thank you for your reply. Some further diagnostic work has shown a blown battery, however replacing it did not solve any issues.
ive managed to start the car by bypassing the battery control unit, and the car runs albeit with lots of warnings. Charger is working as it’s supposed to, 14v. I think next step will be to replace the battery module.

is it the same one that is to citroen c4 and peugeot 308?

It's this one: Ali-Link. I purchased one, because I had starting problems. Looks identical. In the end it was a loose negative....
