Aveage age of RCZ Owner

Generally being a lurker, I tend to sit and read some of the postings on here with an element of amusement which leads me to wondering if I am a bit of an old fart!

There seems to be a bit of an obsession with modifying what I personally think is a very well specified car, whether it be with boom box stereos, noisty exhaust pipes or uprated disks. When I was a young lad and got my first car it was the sort of thing I felt the need to do along with driving around town with the window down and the stereo blaring.

25 years later i still drive like I stole it but dont feel the need to modify the car. My idea of a big addition is a towbar!!

So at 42 have I become an old fart?

How old are others?

My idea of personalising my RCZ, is by purchasing the optional extras that inspire me. I suspect my choice of the gloss carbon roof will make it stand out at an RCZ meet. But the other options that I chose are less obvious but non the less valued by me. I am amazed at the age of some of the owners on here. It has taken me 51 years to be able to push the boat out far enough to bag one of these beauties, so am well passed the age/stage of fancy lights or noisy exhausts. Each to their own and if they have the funds and desire, All I can say is good on em. I do wonder what will excite them as they get older as they have broken their teeth on an RCZ! In my way of thinking you can only ever move forward. So onto better as finances and circumstances allow. What for heavens sake will it cost these young uns to keep up that pace of progression?
Ok... I admit it I'm old for my years and suspect that I am way out of touch but, my opinion. That's all

42, and although my RCZ will only arrive early October, the single upgrade I foresee is the tiny 8GB USB Verbatim USB stick that someone referred to in this forum. It arrived today!

52 but my husband acts like a 18 year old. Keeps me young at heart.

He can fit as many mods as he likes as long as it does not come out my pocket.

31 on Friday. Good to see I am not the only one over 30. Picking her up on Sept 1st - fully spec'ed (factory only) just the way it should be IMHO.

I very much doubt it. I'm not far behind you and have a Pearl as many forum members do. (well apart from jactac he ended up with an Opal.....shame)
